Someone Now for an IEEE-USA Award WASHINGTON (16 July 2002) — Now's the time to nominate someone whose efforts on behalf of the profession or the IEEE merit national recognition with an IEEE-USA award. The IEEE-USA Awards and Recognition Committee present these prestigious awards in recognition of professional, technical and literary contributions to public awareness and understanding of the engineering profession in the United States. The IEEE-USA Precollege Education Committee Teacher-Engineer Partnership Award is new this year. It is designed to recognize collaborative activities between K-12 teachers and IEEE members.
