PRODUCT
& SERVICES OVERVIEW (PDF) (Grayson)
Please review prior to the meeting.
The Committee discussed the need to have a
joint meeting with the PACE Committee to explain the various
products and services being produced by the ECS. The intent is
that the PACE Committee will help mark and disseminate the
information to the local sections.
It was recommended that a subcommittee form
to discuss the future of webinars. Various issues were raised with
respect to: 1) Marketing, 2) Pricing (if any), 3) Member v.
non-member use; and 4) archives of webinars. Carl, Margaret,
Wole and Rachel agreed to discuss after the meeting and develop a
plan in time for the next face to face meeting. |

WEBSITES
TO REVIEW PRIOR TO MEETING
Please review the following websites and come prepared to
discuss, comment and recommend improvements. The following are links
to live websites:
CareerNavigator
Scott reported that CareerNavigator is one of
the most popular webpages among all of the ieeeusa.org web pages.
He reported that the format was changed back to the old way to allow

this direction.
ECS Virtual
Community &
Entrepreneurs Village
Some committee members continue to monitor the ECS Community.
Scott shared with the committee the vBulletin community that the
Entrepreneurs have started using. He explained that there is general
consensus that the current Ramius communities are no longer user
friendly. Despite this the committee decided to keep the current
community because it is so well established with nearly 3,000 users
EmploymentNavigator
Scott reported that EmploymentNavigator
continues to be a good option to the IEEE Job Site for the hard to
find local jobs.
Global
Toolkit (Akpose/Eason/Grayson)
Wole noted that progress had been slow on this project but that
he and Scott were working on launching a blog using google. He
